Responsibilities

The Director of Learning and Development creates, facilitates, and/or implements a comprehensive suite of learning materials for all levels of the organization.

  1. Implement, manage and maintain a comprehensive suite of existing and potential leadership development offerings, including executive and leadership development, external training opportunities, coaching, and leadership assessments.
  2. Implement metrics and analytics that effectively measure, benchmark and monitor the learning and development impact to the organization.
  3. Confer with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies.
  4. Amend and revise programs as necessary, in order to adapt to the changes that occur in the work environment.
  5. Assist in the creation of the Learning & Development strategic plan.
  6. Seek, share and adopt ideas and best practices from outside the company to deliver cutting edge leader development solutions.
  7. Conduct organizational needs assessments to determine knowledge and skills gaps.

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Degree in Education, Management, Organizational Development or a related field.
  • Experience in training and development and/or organizational development, including curriculum design, development, and instruction.
  • CPLP Certification needed.
  • Certifications in various programs and tools such as DDI Targeted Selection, MBTI, DiSC, Situational Leadership is preferred.
  • Must be able to provide own transportation to various locations in organizational service areas, as required by duties.
